About Our Seasons

Move Up Cycling Club runs three distinct 8-week programs each year — Road, Mountain, and Cyclocross. Each season is led by professional coaches and experienced athletes from our community. The programs are designed to build skills, fitness, and confidence while fostering camaraderie and providing opportunities to race locally.

Season Highlights

Professional Coaching – Led by professional coaches and veteran athletes from Move Up Cycling Club.
Race Entry Benefits – 4–5 event entries included, funded through donors and fundraising events like the Muleskinner Gravel Classic.
Comprehensive Support – Practice schedules, locations, and race details are provided during sign-up.

Season Overview

Road (Spring: Late Feb–Early Apr) – Learn group riding, safe cornering, sprinting, and teamwork for criteriums and road racing.
Mountain Bike (Summer: Jun–Jul) – Build confidence with attack position, technical descents, rock gardens, and MTB-specific handling.
Cyclocross (Fall: Mid-Sep–Early Nov) – Master dismounts, remounts, barriers, run-ups, and race tactics for cyclocross.

Requirements to Participate

Club Membership: All participants must officially sign up for the Move Up Cycling Club. Membership is free using the code provided below.
Team Jersey: Riders are required to purchase and wear a Move Up team jersey at race events. Jerseys are custom-ordered multiple times per year, with entry-level options priced at $50-$60 and high-end options at $90-$120.

Expectations

Code of Conduct – All members must follow the Move Up Cycling Club and USAC Codes of Conduct.
Team Jersey Requirement – A Move Up jersey must be worn at all USAC races and team strategy events. Jerseys are available in our store for $50–$120.
Team Representation – Riders are expected to race as part of Move Up Cycling Club. Other memberships (e.g., Rapha CC) are fine, but Move Up jerseys must be worn on event days. NICA participation is welcome. Exceptions (national teams, composite teams, sponsorship teams, etc.) may be granted on a case-by-case basis by contacting Coach Kent.
